Davidson, Billy J. (APR? 1952 - 29 AUG 1954)

A 28-month-old girl drowned in a minnow tank outside the Henry Miller Tavern at Perkinstown on Sunday afternoon.

She was Billy Jean Davidson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Don Davidson, Perkinstown (Taylor Co., Wis.).

Coroner Dave Ruesch, Medford, said this week that no inquest was contemplated.  He described the death as "accidental."

The little girl reportedly had been playing with older children.  The parents had been in the tavern only a few moments when the mother stepped outside to check on the child’s activities.  She discovered the body in the tank.

Dr. Lester Nystrum summoned from Medford, pronounced the child dead on arrival.

The drowning victim is survived by her parents and a 15-month-old sister.
