In a double ring ceremony performed by Father Schlomer at a nuptial high mass at St. Augustine Church at Ingram at 10:00 o’clock Saturday morning, July 10th, 1954, Patricia Goeldner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Goeldner of Glen Flora became the bride of John Lee, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Lee of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.).  The wedding took place before an altar decorated with roses and calla lilies.

 

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, was attired in a gown of English lace over satin, waltz length, with double Peter Pan collar.  She wore a finger tip veil and carried a bouquet of red rose carnations.

 

Elaine Suda, sister of the bride, matron of honor, was dressed in a floor length strapless gown of yellow net over taffeta with matching jacket.  Her bridesmaid, Miss Virginia McGary, a cousin, wore a strapless dress of pale green net over taffeta with lace jacket.  Both attendants carried colonial bouquets.  Attending the groom was Theodore Goeldner of Greenwood, as best man, and Peter Goeldner, brother of the bride.  James McGary and Ted McGary served as ushers.

 

The wedding dinner was served at the home of the bride’s parents where 100 guests gathered at the reception festivities.  The wedding table was adorned with a four-tier cake baked by the aunts of the bride, Mildred and Delvina McGary.

 

The bride is a graduate of the Ingram-Glen Flora High School and Taylor County Normal, and has been employed as teacher at the Pioneer School near Thorp.  The groom is a painter by trade.

 

The happy couple spent their honeymoon in northern Wisconsin and are making their home at Thorp.

Bernard Lee, Rhinelander, Bob Alard, Chippewa Falls; Ted McGary, Chicago; Alex Bestodean, Monticello, Minn.; Earl Baker, Cornell; Jim Bromley, Jump River; James McGary, Sheldon; Mrs. Fred Kleckner and children, Glen Flora; John Briski, Greenwood; Miss Florence Przybylski, Thorp; Doris Fruedenthal, Medford; Bill Mareshcke, Rib Lake, Misses Charlotte, Bernice and Mary Southworth, Owen; Betty Klepel, Edgar; Joan Schopper, Dorchester; Mrs. Ida Heintz and Bernice Heintz, Glen Flora; Patricia Lorraine Novak, and Hedwig Goeldner, Chicago; Mrs. Ruth Coperider, Zion, Ill.; Nancy Reynolds and Fred Goeldner, Joliet, Ill.; and Mrs. Charles Gillett and Heidi Gillett of Gurnee, Ill.
