Hartl, Leta (8 MAY 1954)

Leta Hartl, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Anton Hartl of Edgar, became the bride of Leonard Ebben, son of Mrs. Clara Ebben in a double ring ceremony performed by Rev. Arnold M. Muckerheide at St. Bernard’s Rectory at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 8, 1954.

The bride’s dress was of ballerina length brocaded taffeta with matching bolero and her shoulder length veil of French illusion was secured to a beaded crown.  She carried a bouquet of red roses and white stephanotis.  Her pearl earrings were a gift from the groom.

Rose Ann Ebben, sister of the groom, as bridesmaid, wore an aqua ballerina length brocaded taffeta gown with net overskirt and matching bolero.  She wore a headband of flowers and her pearl earrings were a gift from the bride.

Clayborne Ebben, brother of the groom, acted as best man.

A wedding reception and dinner were given by the bride’s parents at Edgar for the immediate relatives.

The bride’s mother and the groom’s mother both wore dresses of navy blue for the occasion with corsages of white carnations.

When leaving on their wedding trip the bride was dressed in navy blue with white and navy accessories.

The wedding trip was to include a visit with the bride’s sister and brother-in-law in South Dakota.

The bride has been employed by the Thorp Finance Corp. for some time.  The groom is employed with the Zeraff Construction Co. at Milwaukee.  They will be at home at Milwaukee after May 15.
