Kademan, Lois Ann (Marriage - 2 Nov. 1957)

A double ring ceremony was used when Miss Lois Ann Kademan and John H. Block were united in marriage Saturday afternoon at 1:30 in the Evangelical and Reformed church at Colby. The Rev. V. O. Grosshuesch officiated at the rites in the presence of relatives and friends from Chicago, North Dakota, Milwaukee, Wausau, Marshfield, and Sheboygan.

Parents of the bridal couple are Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Kademan, of Curtiss, and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Block, Route 2, Colby.

The bride and her attendants wore princess style street length gowns of light blue crystal acetate. The bride, wearing a short veil, carried a bouquet of red roses and white carnations, while her aides had bouquets of red and white carnations and yellow pom pons.

Attending the couple were Miss Joan Block and Jerald Block, sister and brother of the groom, and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Sandley, Marshfield, uncle and aunt of the bride.

James Baumgartner and Raymond Miller, Jr., both of Colby, friends of the bridal couple, were ushers.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the home of the bride’s grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Strade, Abbotsford, and supper was served at the parish hall to about 80 guests. In the evening, a wedding dance was held at Kolby Park.

The new Mr. and Mrs. Block are at home to friends on the farm of the groom’s parents, Route 2, Colby.
