Lingenfelter, Mary Ann (Marriage - 8 June 1957) 
 

Bernard Hoffman and Miss Mary Ann Lingenfelter, both of Rochester, Minn., exchanged marriage vows Saturday, June 8, at St. Pius X Catholic church, Rochester. The Rev. Warren J. Ryan read the double ring ceremony at 11 o’clock. 
 

Parents of the bridal couple are Mr. and Mrs. George Hoffman, Abbotsford and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Lingenfelter of Utica, Minn. 
 

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of white satin covered with traditional lace. The bodice was designed with a scoop neckline detailed with seed pearls; the long sleeves ended in points over the wrist and the floor-length skirt had a chapel train. Her long veil was caught to a tiara of seed pearls. Red sweetheart roses and white stephanotis were combined in her cascade bouquet from which fell white satin ribbons tied with flowers. 
 

Attending her as maid of honor was her friend, Miss Jean Duellman of Rochester. Her sister, Miss Nancy Lingenfelter of Utica, was bridesmaid, and a niece, Miss Linda Olson, was flower girl. 
 

Identical gowns of mint green taffeta covered with white eyelet organdy were worn by the two bridal attendants. They were waltz length, had short puffed sleeves and a scoop neckline. They wore the same color picture hats and carried cascade bouquets of pink sweetheart roses and white carnations tied with mint green ribbon. 
 

The flower girl wore a floor length dress like the bride’s, but with short sleeves. In her hair she wore a lace band. She carried a basket of red and white sweetheart roses. 
 

Attending the groom as best man was Dave Postier, and Robert Elkins, both of Rochester. Ushers were Thomas Hoffman, Abbotsford, brother of the groom, and Robert Olson of Lewiston, brother-in-law of the bride. 
 

Both mothers wore black ensembles with white accessories and had orchid corsages. Mrs. Sarah Lingenfelter of Lewiston and Mrs. Jessie Woodward of Rochester, grandmothers of the bride, had corsages of white carnations. 
 

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents. 
 

Mr. and Mrs. Hoffman left on a wedding trip to Madison and spent a few days at Abbotsford. They will make their home at 318 29^th ave. S.W., Rochester, Minn. 
 

The groom has been employed at Postier-Eggers Buick garage, but will leave Sunday for a week’s National Guard encampment at Ft. Ripley and after a five-day leave, will go to Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo., to take six months active duty training. 
 

The bride is employed as medical secretary at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester. 
 

Those from here who attended the wedding included Mrs. George Hoffman, sons, Bill, Kurt and Teddy and daughter, Mrs. Richard Perry; Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Hoffman, Mrs. Ed Hoffman and two daughters, Mrs. Al Holtzhausen and Mrs. John Miller. 
 

Other guests came from Winona, Rochester, St. Charles, Utica, Stockton and Wykoff.
