Tonn, Augusta (1 Jan. 1862 - 14 Mar. 1957) 
 

CURTISS,WIS.:  A 95 year-old pioneer resident of this area, Mrs. Frank (Augusta) Tonn, died Thursday at the Havenet Nursing Home at Owen of old age complications. She had been living at the home the past year and one-half.  
 

The former Augusta Trapp was born in Germany, Jan. 1, 1862, and was married to Mr. Tonn Sept. 1, 1883, at Milwaukee. That same year they came to the town of Hoard, farming there until 1926, when they retired and moved to Curtiss. Mr. Tonn died 19 years ago. 
 

Survivors are two sons, Paul Tonn, Milwaukee; and Arthur Tonn, Curtiss; three daughters, Mrs. Martin (Bertha) Nissen, Glidden; Mrs. William (Anna) Korth, San Gabriel, Calif.; and Mrs. Ray (Hattie) Staples, Medford; 13 grand children and 10 great grand children. Two sons, Albert and Franklin, preceded her in death. 
 

Funeral services were held at 2:00 o’clock Saturday afternoon at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran church, Curtiss. The Rev. Martin Kraus officiated and internment was made in the family lot in the church cemetery in the town of Hoard.
