Schulz, Mabel Martha (Fink) (March 15, 1914 - October 17, 2009) 

 
Mabel Martha Schulz, 95, Colby, died Saturday, October 17, 2009 at the Golden Living Center-Continental Manor in Abbotsford.
 
 

She was born March 15, 1914, in the town of Green Grove in Clark County, the daughter of Louis and Ida (Wiegman) Fink.   
 

She attended Sasnhill Country School until the 7th grade.   
 

She married Louis Ernst on January 29, 1936, in Zion Lutheran Church in Colby. Louis died on October 11, 1988.   
 

She was a homemaker and worded for a period of time as a cook at Zion Lutheran School I Colby. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, the Homemaker’s Club and the German Club.   
 

She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting an doing embroidery. She was once a member of the "Moonlite Playboys," a band in which she played guitar and banjo.   
 

She is survived by her two sons, Arland (Rosie) Schulz, Warner-Robins, GA, and Gerald (Sandra) Schulz, Appleton; and four grandchildren.   
 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son Myron; two brothers Raymond and Walter; and one sister Lucille. 

 
Her funeral services will be Thursday, October 22, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Colby. The Rev. Mark Neumann will preside. Burial will follow in Colby Memorial Cemetery in the town of Colby. Visitation will be on Thursday at the church in Colby from 9:30 a.m. until time of services. Acting as her pallbearers will be Arland, Gerald and George Schulz, Dana Messenger, Derek and Erika Schulz.

 
The family is accepting memorials in Mabel’s name to Zion Lutheran Church in Colby.
