Zimmerman, Ruth B. (Marriage - 18 October 1952)

The Thorp Methodist Church, decorated with autumn foliage, chrysanthemums and candelabra, was the setting for the wedding of Ruth B. Zimmerman and Galen G. Misfeldt on Saturday, October 18.

The ceremony was performed by Rev. Lelan Shaw at 2:00 p.m.  The wedding music was played by Mrs. Robert Gray, who also accompanied Elaine, Marjorie and Jean Cook who sang.

The bride wore a chapel length gown of champagne-colored lace and nylon tulle over satin. Sequins trimmed her stand-up collar and the lace appliqués on the skirt. A net cap with sequins and seed pearls held her finger tip veil. She carried a bouquet of baby mums centered with two orchids.

Kathleen Larson of Minneapolis served as maid of honor. Ruby Raeder of Beaver Dam served as bridesmaid.

Gerald Abitz of Wausau served as best man and Bernard Mertons of Thorp as groomsman.

A reception was held at 6 o’clock at the American Legion Hall in Thorp.

The couple will reside in Thorp.
