Shock, Selma (12 January 1888 - 6 July 1952)  
 

Mrs. Selma Shock, 64, died Sunday, July 6, 1952.  She suffered a stroke and was taken from her home on West 15th Street to the Neillsville hospital. 
 

Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, July 8, at 2 o’clock from the Bergemann Funeral Home with the Rev. Virgil Nulton officiating. Burial was made in the city cemetery in Stanley. 
 

Mrs. Shock, the former Selma Lakowskie, was born on January 12, 1888, at La Crosse.  When she was 17 years of age she moved with her family to Stanley.  In 1906 she was married to George Shock at Stanley and they resided there until 1926, when they moved to Withee. 
 

Following Mr. Shock’s death in 1929 she moved back to Stanley and resided there until 1938 when she moved to Neillsville, where she has since lived. 
 

She is survived by the following children: Mrs. Dorothy Barcum of Milwaukee; Ellsworth Shock, Neillsville; Richard Shock, Myrtle (rest of the obit was missing)
