Hawks, Myra (18 July 1881 - 29 Dec. 1954) 
 

Rites for Mrs. Myra Hawks, 73, who died Wednesday, will be held Saturday, Jan. 1, at 2:00 o’clock at the Assembly of God church at Abbotsford. Officiating will be the Rev. Samuel Hardt, of Marshfield, and the Rev. H. W. Gereau, of Withee. Burial will be made in the Dorchester Memorial cemetery. 
 

Mrs. Hawks was born Myra Elizabeth Folsom, July 18, 1881, in Taylor county. She was educated in the schools of that county and was married at her home on a farm near Curtiss for 42 years and came to Abbotsford in August, 1942. Mr. Hawks died here June 22, 1943. Mrs. Hawks continued to live here. She had been seriously ill at her home for several weeks and death occurred at 9:00 a.m. Dec. 29. 
 

Surviving her are her two children, Mrs. Irene Uddenborg, of Chicago; and Allan Hawks, of Curtiss. There are eight grand children and one great grand child. She also has one brother, Howard Folsom, of California, and two sisters, Mrs. F. A. (Grace) Haack, Abbotsford, and Mrs. Carroll (Florence) Hayden, of Canastota, N.Y. A sister, Mrs. Winifred Holiday, preceded her in death.

Funeral services for Mrs. Myra Hawks, who died at her home Dec. 29, were held at 2:00 o’clock at the Assembly of God church, New Year’s day. The Rev. Samuel Hardt, of Marshfield, and the Rev. H. W Gereau, of Withee, officiated. Burial was made in the Abbotsford cemetery. 
 

During the services the Misses Betty Mason and Louise Andre, of Marshfield, sang "The Last Mile of the Way," and "Beyond the Sunset." Mrs. Hardt played the piano accompaniment. 
 

Pallbearers were Otto Bublitz, Irving Goessel, Charles Lehmann, Clarence Stephens, Frank Hamm and Ed Hoffman. 
 

The flowers were carried by Mmes. Lawrence Neitzel, Stella Brady, Floyd Buchanan, Fred Pudlas, and Irving Goessel. 
 

The Rev. and Mrs. Orrin Babler, of Park Falls, came to attend the funeral.
