Rucks, Ruby Mae (Marriage - 23 Oct. 1954)

Miss Ruby Mae Rucks and Albert M. Lueth were united in marriage Saturday, Oct. 23 at St. Paul’s Lutheran church, Curtiss. The Rev. William Grafe read the double ring service at 2:30 o’clock.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Rucks and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fielder Lueth, all of Curtiss.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride approached the altar wearing a white ninon lace dress with a train. A seed pearl crown held her finger tip veil. Her bouquet was centered with gardenias surrounded by pink, yellow and white carnations. To carry out the tradition for the bride’s, she wore her mother’s locket for the "something old."

Attending the couple were A-1C Ralph and Mrs. Rucks, brother and sister-in-law of the bride, of Madison, and Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Lueth, brother and sister-in-law of the groom.

The bridal attendants were similarly attired in ballerina length net dresses with matching wrist corsages of carnations. Yellow was chosen for the matron of honor and pink for the bridesmaid.

Following the ceremony, a reception attended by about 60 guests, was held at the Lueth home. White, yellow and pink streamers and white wedding bells were used in the home decorations. In the evening a wedding dance was held at Curtiss hall.

Guests attended from Wausau, Arpin, Colby, Madison, Dorchester, Stetsonville, Owen, and Abbotsford.

Mr. and Mrs. Lueth are at home to friends three miles west of Dorchester. Mr. Lueth is employed as a cheesemaker.
