Graffunder, Elizabeth (19 May 1872 - Jan. 1954) 
 
Mrs. Elizabeth Graffunder, 81, died Thursday morning, Jan. 21, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Alfred Dake, Milan. On Saturday, the remains were taken from the Zink Funeral Home to St. Peter’s Lutheran church at Dorchester where funeral services were conducted at 2:00 o’clock by the Rev. F. H. Sprengler. Burial was made in the Milan cemetery. 
 

The pallbearers were Archie Dake, Arlon, Donald, Eugene and Ronald Graffunder, and James Reynolds, all grand sons of the deceased. 
 

The Misses Darlene Dake and Arlene Graffunder, grand daughters, carried the flowers. 
 

The deceased was born Elizabeth Bremer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Bremer, May 19, 1872, at Oldenburg, Germany. When a young girl, she came to the United States, living first at Germantown, near Milwaukee, and about 1888 came to the vicinity of the town of Mayville. 
 

In October, 1889, she was married to Harvey Reynolds, at Dorchester. Mr. Reynolds died in 1893. On Feb. 13, 1895, she was married to Herman Graffunder and lived on a farm in the town of Holton until Mr. Graffunder’s death in 1930. The last ten years she lived in Dorchester until she became ill at Christmas time and was taken to the home of her daughter, Mrs. Dake. 
 

She is survived by eight children, John Reynolds, Waupaca; Fred Reynolds, Dorchester; Henry Graffunder, Medford; Jess Graffunder, Yakima, Wash.; Archie Graffunder, Park Falls; Mrs. Alfred (Helen) Dake, Milan; Gayhart and Ben Graffunder, Abbotsford. 
 

Also surviving are 32 grand children, 23 great grand children, four brothers, Henry Bremer, Milwaukee; Fred Bremer, Oshkosh; Chris Bremer, Rib Lake; and Richard Bremer, Dorchester, and one sister, Mrs. Anna Skervin, Wisconsin Rapids. Three brothers and one sister preceded her in death. 
 

Among the relatives who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. John Reynolds, Waupaca; Mrs. Anna Skervin, Harvey and Raymond Skervin, Mrs. Walter Graffunder and Mr. and Mrs. John Radkie, Wisconsin Rapids; Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Graffunder, Marshfield; Mrs. Melvin Zettler and children, Loyal; Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Reynolds, Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Reynolds, Ted and Violet Reynolds, Mr. and Mrs. William Koch, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Behr, and Peter Rejewski, Wausau; Mrs. Tom Reynolds, Unity; Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Hardinger, Mr. and Mrs. Archie Graffunder and Arlon, Mrs. Seth Barker, Park Falls; Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Bremer, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Graffunder and family, Medford; Mr. and Mrs. Archie Dake, Stetsonville; Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Dake and daughter, Diane, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Chris Bremer, Rib Lake; Dick Bremer, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Kalepp, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Reynolds, Dorchester; Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Wettereau, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Reynolds, Mr. and Mrs. James Reynolds, Dorchester; Mrs. Pauline Bremer, Miss Elsie Bremer, and Mr. and Mrs. John Bremer, Abbotsford.  
 

Many neighbors and friends of Dorchester, Milan, and Abbotsford, also attended.
