Wolf, Irma L. (7 Apr. 1915 - 16 Sept. 2009) 
 

Irma L. Wolf, 94 of rural Marshfield died Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 16, 2009, at Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield. 
 

Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, 2009, at St. John's Catholic Church with the Rev. Charles D. Stoetzel. Suzanne Golden along with St. John's Funeral Choir will provide the music. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery with her grandsons as pallbearers. 
 

Visitation will be at St. John's Catholic Church on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until time of the services. 
 

Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements. 
 

Irma was born April 7, 1915, in Monroe County to Theodore and Lena (Denz) Hauke. 
 

At the age of 10, Irma was caretaker for her siblings when her mother passed away. 
 

On June 11, 1935, she was united in marriage to Edward A. Wolf in a double wedding along with her father Theodore and Clara Streslar at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Marshfield. 
 

She and her husband farmed near Chili in the town of Fremont, Clark County, for many years. She also helped her father start the Hauke Honey Business. 
 

Due to ill health of her husband in 1959, they moved to Marshfield. She then worked at Saint Joseph's Hospital for 19 years in housekeeping. 
 

After retirement in 1977, she enjoyed fishing, gardening and knitting, especially knitting kitty mittens for all the grandchildren. 
 

After the death of her husband in 1987, she moved next to her daughter Elaine Schneider and due to ill health, she moved to Country View Assistant Living on East McMillan, Auburndale. 
 

Irma is survived by two daughters, Elaine Schneider and Carol (Michael) Winkel, both of Marshfield; 19 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. She is further survived by a brother, Alfred Hauke of Weyauwega; and a sister-in-law, Evelyn Hauke of Marshfield; two daughters-in-law, Celia Wolf of Marshfield and Rosemary Wolf of Franklin. 
 

Irma was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sons, Donald and Eugene; grandson, Robert Schneider; four brothers, Walter, Alvin, George and Robert Hauke; and a sister, Adeline Hauke.
