He was a former council member and school treasurer at Unity and was affiliated with the Unity Methodist church.

Mr. Cook was born on a farm near Unity Dec. 21, 1888. He received his education in village schools and owned and operated a farm for 17 years. He was a farm and livestock auctioneer for 28 years, and also dealt in real estate.

He is survived by his wife, the former Minnie Yahr, whom he married Aug. 27, 1914, at Unity, and by twin daughters, Harriet, at home, and Mrs. John (Dorothy) Cromie, Seattle, Wash., and by one grand child.
