Orlowski, Thomas Anthony (28 October 1947 - 11 September  2009) With Flag

Thomas "Tom" Anthony Orlowski, 61, of Kenosha passed away Sept. 11, 2009, at Saint Joseph’s Hospital from complications due to a head injury.

Tom, born Oct. 28, 1947, grew up in Kenosha, the oldest son of Tony and Agnes Orlowski. As a teenager, he found a love for pool and billiards and perfected his game throughout his life.  He also enjoyed spending time outdoors, both camping and hunting with his brother Pat.  Later in life, Tom became a leader in the Boy Scouts in which he created special memories with his son Jacob.  He also had wonderful times with his daughter Amy, over Blue Moon ice cream in Eagle River.  Tom is a veteran of the Vietnam War, where he earned the Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal, three expert marksman badges and the Bronze Star for Exemplary Service.  He proudly served from March 1967 to January 1970.  Tom worked for ARAMARK for 30 years from which he retired and was able to pursue his passion, pool; he won many tournaments and awards. Nothing, however, compared to the happiness he found in playing with his granddaughter Alayna.

Tom is survived by his wife, Lynn, and two children, Jacob Orlowski and Amy Orlowski.  He also leaves behind granddaughter, Alayna.  Tom is survived by his mother and stepfather, Agnes and John Gentz; brother Patrick "Pat" (Carolyn) Orlowski; sister Ann (Kent) Bieganski; as well as many in-laws, nephews, nieces, great-nephews, great-nieces and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Antone "Tony" Orlowski.

A visitation was held Friday, Sept. 18, 2009, at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church of Kenosha followed by a Mass.
