Nelson, James, Mr. / Mrs. (50^th - 9 JUL 1954)

A former Owen (Clark Co., Wis.) couple, Mr. and Mrs. James Nelson of 2414 East Belleview Place, Milwaukee, will observe their 50^th wedding anniversary tomorrow, July 9^th, 1954.

The couple were among the pioneer residents of the community, coming here when the community had its origin with the lumber industry.  For years Mr. Nelson served as filer with the John S. Owen Lumber Company.  With the passing of the lumbering industry here Mr. Nelson followed his attachment to the whir of saws, moving to Ontonagon, Mich.  About 20 years ago the family moved to Milwaukee where they have since resided.

Mr. Nelson has now retired but both he and his wife are enjoying good health.

The couple have two children, Charles of New York and Eunice, Naperville, Ill.
