Loos, James (21 Sept. 1947 - 13 Aug. 2009) 
 

FORT COLLINS, Colo. -- James Loos, 61, Fort Collins, Colo., and formerly of Loyal and Spencer, died Thursday, Aug. 13, 2009, at his home. He was born Sept. 21, 1947, in Marshfield, to John and Marie (Braun) Loos, who both predeceased him. 
 

He married Sandy Goodbrand in 1970 in Loyal, and they were later divorced. Jim attended Loyal High School and was drafted and served in the U.S. Army, serving during the Vietnam War from 1966-69. Upon returning home, he worked for Loyal Oil until he began working at Land O'Lakes in Spencer for 10 years. He also worked as a truck driver for Liberty Homes in Dorchester, before going out on his own transporting mobile homes. He moved to Colorado in 1980, where he continued transporting mobile homes. He was recently employed by Eagle Span in Fort Collins as an outside foreman. 
 

Jim is survived by his son, Mike (Angela) Loos of Marshfield; one granddaughter, Lindsey Loos of Marshfield; and two step-granddaughters, Erica Foth and Breanna Foth, both of Marshfield. 
 

He is also survived by his siblings, Rosemary (Gene) Kroening of Colby, Bill Loos of Eagle River, Sandy Loos of Chippewa Falls, Charles (Julie) Loos, of Loyal, Dan (Carol) Loos of Sheboygan, and Kenneth (Cindee) Loos of Loyal; and many nieces and nephews. 
 

He was also predeceased by a brother, Steven Loos in 1973. 
 

A memorial service will be held today at the Ramada Inn in Fort Collins, Colo. There will be a memorial service from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 21, at the Loyal Sportsman’s Club. 
 

Jim enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and will be deeply missed.
