Tonya Steckler and Stephen Jahnke, Middleton, were united in marriage on June 20, 2009, at St. Joseph’s Church in Phlox. Deacon Tom Hartman officiated.   
 

The bride is the daughter of Daniel and Sally Steckler, Mosinee. The groom is the son of David Jahnke and Dennis and Paula Paulson, Marathon.   
 

The bride wore a white halter top dress with cathedral length train. Her flowers were a blue and white rose bouquet.   
 

Matron of honor was Lauren Steckler, Mosinee, sister of the bride. Bridesmaid was Jennifer Jahnke, Marathon, sister of the groom.   
 

Best man was Brian Newkirk, Manitowoc, friend of the groom. Groomsman was Thomas Danen, Dorchester, friend of the groom.   
 

Ushers were Josh Edwards, Dorchester and Paul Beck, Mattoon.   
 

Flower girl was Ella Miller, Illinois and ring bearer was Jacob Jahnke, Marathon.   
 

Music during the ceremony was provided by Katrina White and Greg Pesech. The photographer was Pete Genteman, Peteness Photography, New London.   
 

The reception was held at the Wausau Labor Temple with 170 guests.  
 

The bride earned her bachelor of science at UW-River Falls in 2006 and is currently employed as a scientist at PPD.   
 

The groom is a 1999 graduate of Marathon High School who works as a painter at Badger Utility.   
 

The couple took a road trip out west for their honeymoon. They reside in Middleton.
