Fasse, Shirley Rae (Marriage - 29 Aug. 1953) 
 

The former Miss Shirley Rae Fasse, Route 2, Athens, wore a lace-over tulle gown and a finger tip veil during her marriage to William Harland Denzin, Abbotsford, which took place in Bethlehem Lutheran church, at 2:00 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. Harold Malotky officiated. 
 

The bride is the daughter of Albert Fasse, Athens, and her husband is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William E. Denzin. 
 

Attendants to the bride were Miss Leonice Marquardt, as maid of honor, wearing a bronze taffeta and net gown, and carrying white gladioli and bronze carnations, and Mrs. Vernon Underwood as bridesmaid. Mrs. Underwood, a sister of the bride, was attired in blue taffeta and carried white gladioli and blue carnations. 
 

Barbara Fasse, niece of the bride, served as flower girl and wore a white taffeta net frock. 
 

The groom’s attendants were Howard Fasse, the bride’s brother, and Vernon Underwood, brother-in-law of the groom. Eldor Denzin and Arno Fasse helped to seat the guests in the church. 
 

The groom’s mother wore a navy crepe dress with red accessories. 
 

Following the wedding, a reception was held at the home of the bride’s father and a supper was served in the church basement. 
 

After a honeymoon in Sheboygan and northern Wisconsin, the new Mr. and Mrs. Denzin will reside on his farm.
