Eldridge, James B. #2 (1885? - 15 APR 1952)
James Byron Eldridge, 67, hired man on the Fred Summers farm in the town of Unity, was found dead in a hay mow on the Summers farm apparently had suffered a heart attack.
Mr. Eldridge, formerly of Plymouth, had been employed by the Summers for 3 ½ years. Mrs. Summers told Ray Kutsche, county undersheriff and John Bergemann, county coroner, that Mr. Eldridge left the house about 2:30 and she began searching for him at 5:30 when he failed to come for supper. She called neighbors to join in the search and the body was then found in a hay mow. Dr. Schields of Abbotsford reported death due to a heart attack. No inquest will be held.
The body was returned to Plymouth Wednesday, where funeral services and burial will take place. His brother, William H. Eldridge, resides in Plymouth.
