Suckow, Jeannie (June 11, 1952 - June 26, 2009) 
 

Jeannie Suckow, 57, Athens died Friday, June 26, 2009 under the care of Ministry Home Care Hospice at North Central Health Care Center after a courageous battle with cancer.  
 

She was born June 11, 1952, in Marshfield, daughter of the late Harvey and Margaret (Suennen) Suchow.   
 

She graduated from Colby High School in 1970 and then from the Wausau Beauty School.  She worded for various beauty salons until 1975 when she became the owner/operator of the Family Affair Salon for 12 years.  She then worked out of Barbra’s Hair Gallery until her time of illness.   
 

She worked with the Adult M.D.A. and did Cut-A-Thon for many years.   
 

She belonged to the Jaycees, the Humane Society, shot billiards and was a Green Bay Packer fan.   
 

Survivors include her siblings, Jerry (Pat) Suckow, Unity, Harvey (Marilyn) Suchow, Stratford, Jim (Jan) Suckow, and Elly (Mary) Suchow, both of Unity, and Susie Jecevicus, Colby, Wis.   
 

She was preceded in death by her parents. 

 
Memorial services for Jeannie will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at the Peterson-Kraemer Funeral Home, Athens. Burial will be in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Colby, Wis. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services all at the Athens funeral home.

 
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in Jeannie’s name.
