GREENWOOD, WIS. -- Theodore W. "Ted" Williams, 82, of Greenwood, died Wednesday, July 8, 2009, at Memorial Medical Center in Neillsville. 
 

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Grace United Methodist Church in Greenwood. Burial of his cremains will take place at a later date. 
 

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the church. 
 

Cuddie Funeral Home of Greenwood is assisting the family with arrangements.

GREENWOOD, WIS. -- Theodore W. "Ted" Williams, 82, of Greenwood, died Wednesday, July 8, 2009, at the Memorial Medical Center in Neillsville. 
 

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Grace United Methodist Church in Greenwood. Visitation will be held at the church Friday from 10 a.m. until time of service. 
 

Services also will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Necedah United Methodist Church in Necedah. Visitation will be held Saturday at the church in Necedah from 10 a.m. until time of service. 
 

Theodore Wallace Williams was born July 23, 1926, in Necedah, the son of Robert B. and Alice (Blake) Williams. After his schooling, Ted entered the U.S. Navy and served on the USS Nevada until 1946. He was united in marriage to Barbara Carter on June 2, 1946, at the Necedah United Methodist Church. 
 

They moved to Milwaukee, where Ted worked as a machinist at Rexnord from 1950 until retiring in 1985. After retirement, they moved to Greenwood, where they have resided until Ted's death. 
 

He is survived by his wife, Barbara, of Greenwood; three children, Gary (Carolyn) Williams of Necedah, Wallene (Tom) Neumiller of Savanna, Ill., and Jerome Williams of Necedah; 10 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Alvin Williams of Friendship, Roland Williams of Janesville and James (Audrey) Williams of Necedah. 
 

Cuddie Funeral Home of Greenwood is assisting the family with arrangements.
