Waniger, Lois (23 FEB 1952)

 

The rectory of St. Casimir’s Catholic Church in Northeim was the setting Saturday, Feb. 23, 1952 for the wedding of Miss Lois Waniger and Orville A. Horner.  The ceremony was performed at 2:30 p.m. and officiated at by Rev. Father Liskowski.

 

The bride is the daughter Mr. and Mrs. Ed Waniger, Manitowoc, Wis.  She wore a ribbed Bengaline magnolia beige suit with a violet blouse, deep purple shoes and gloves and wore a straw bonnet style hat.  Pinned to her suit was an orchid corsage.

 

Attending her were Miss Ruth Kaminski, Manitowoc, a cousin and Miss Margaret Horner, Eau Claire, sister of the bridegroom.  Miss Kaminski wore a suit of mist gray rayon gabardine, navy blue accessories and a navy blue straw hat and a corsage of white roses.  Miss Horner’s suit was a rayon gabardine of arbutus pink, navy blue accessories and a daffodil gold straw hat trimmed in navy blue.  Her shoulder corsage was made up of yellow roses.

 

The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Horner, route 1, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.).  He wore a business suit of light grey while his attendants, Carl Kaminski, best man and groomsman Merlyn Behringer, Racine, wore navy blue suits.

 

For the occasion the bride’s mother wore a royal blue crepe dress and a corsage of pink camellias and white hyacinths.  The groom’s mother wore a dress of navy blue taffeta and lace trimmed in pink enchaned by corsage of pink camellias and white hyacinths.

 

A buffet supper was served to 200 guests at the Circle Inn.  Assisting at the reception were Miss Beverly Metzger, Miss LaVerne Skarvon and Miss Janice Kaminski of Manitowoc.

 

After a short wedding trip the newlyweds will establish their home on the groom’s farm on route 1, Owen.

 

Among the guests attending the ceremony were Mrs. Ed Horner, Emil Horner, Mrs. Ted Miller, Owen; Miss Margaret Horner, Eau Claire; Merlyn Behringer, Racine; Mr. and Mrs. Cerull, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Spncer Hansen, Manitowoc; Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Eisenman, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Kaufman, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Zik, and Oscar Witte, Mischot; Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Drobka, Milwaukee, and Mr. and Mrs. Leo Kaltenbrus of Sheboygan.
