Grambort, Fred (1 Aug. 1865 - 8 June 1952)
Fred Grambort, 86, died Sunday morning at 8:00
o’clock at the Clark County Hospital, where he had been a
patient for the past two years.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at
9:00 o’clock at the Zion Lutheran church, Colby, with the
Rev. Otto Hoffmann officiating. Burial was made in the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery.
Mr. Grambort was born Aug. 1, 1865, in Sheboygan
county. He was married to Bertha Kobs Nov. 26, 1890, at Colby, Wis. For
many years he lived on a farm at Colby and then moved to the city
of Colby, where he was a livestock dealer for many years.
His wife preceded him in death.
He is survived by five daughters: Miss Malena
Grambort, Chicago; Mrs. E. W. (Antonia) Doyle, Chicago; Mrs. A. F.
(Alberta) Lidman, Chicago; Miss Edna Grambort, San Francisco, Cal.;
Mrs. Lester (Dorice) Guetschow, Stevens Point; and six sons:
Hubert, Ashland; Walter, Abbotsford; Edwin, Colby; Gilbert,
Abbotsford; Lt. Col. Averett, Japan; and Fred, Chicago. Also
surviving are 21 grand children and one great grand child.
Five sisters and two children preceded him in death.
