Kunze, Estella Marie (Marriage - 9 June 1951)

Miss Estella Marie Kunze, daughter of Joseph Kunze, Abbotsford, became the bride of Theodore Kulas, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Kulas, Athens, at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, in St. Mary’s Catholic church, Colby, with the Rev. N. B. Beschta officiating.

The bride, who approached the altar on the arm of her father, was attired in a white marquisette over satin gown featuring a lace yoke and long sleeves which came to points at the wrists. Her veil was fastened to an orange blossom crown and she carried a bouquet of red roses.

Attending the bride were Mrs. Hubert Apfelbeck, the bride’s cousin, as matron of honor, and Mary Kunze, both of Abbotsford, and Mrs. Dan Angelich, Royal Oak, Mich., the bride’s sister, as bridesmaids. All were gowned alike in yellow, lilac and Nile green marquisette over taffeta with matching veils, respectively. Each carried a bouquet of colored carnations.

Hubert Apfelbeck was best man, and Lawrence Kunze, the bride’s brother, and Dan Angelich were ushers.

The groom’s mother wore a blue dress with a corsage of pink and white carnations for the wedding.

A reception followed the dinner, served at the bride’s home. In the evening a dance was held at the Trianon ballroom.

The groom is employed as a truck driver by Francis Melvin, Abbotsford, and the couple will live at the home of the bride’s father.

Guests at the wedding were from Athens, Chippewa Falls, Colby, Camp McCoy, Dorchester, Milan, Michigan, Montana, Minnesota, Butternut, Glidden, and Hamburg.
