Walkama, Geraldine R. (27 DEC 1951)

Now making their home on the groom’s farm in Curtiss (Clark Co., Wis.), are Mr. and Mrs. Howard Matthew Frane, who were married in the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Owen.  The Rev. Raymond Bornbach was the officiating clergyman.

The bride, the former Miss Geraldine Ruth Walkama, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eino Walkama, Owen, and the groom’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Frane, reside in Curtiss.

A gown of satin trimmed with lace was selected by the bride for her wedding.  A bonnet of lace held her fingertip veil and she carried an arrangement of red and white roses.

Mrs. Herbert Goessl, Curtiss, the bride’s sister, was the matron of honor, and Miss Marion Frane, Curtiss, the groom’s sister, was the bridesmaid.

Both were gowned alike in mint green and rose colored formals respectively, featuring bodices and peplums of lace and full taffeta skirts.  Each wore a corsage of yellow and white carnations.

Herbert Goessl, brother-in-law of the bride, was best man, and Charles Ridpath, Curtiss, was groomsman.

The bride’s mother wore a black taffeta dress while the groom’s mother chose an aqua dress.  Each had a corsage of white carnations.

A breakfast was served at the home of the groom’s parents, and dinner and supper at the home of the bride’s parents.  A dance as held that evening in the Dorchester Hall.
