Lye, Eda (Ida?) #2 (15 JAN 1910)

A very pretty church wedding took place Saturday afternoon at the Lutheran Church, Rev. Brandt performing the ceremony which united in marriage Miss Eda Lye and Chas. Mentzel.  The attending couples were Misses Elizabeth Mentzel and Laura Marth, and Emil Mentzel and Henry Mentzel, sister and brothers of the groom  The bride and bridesmaids were attired in white and carried shower bouquets of roses.  The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Rosa Lye and is a young lady who is quiet and refined in her manner and has many warm friends here (Neillsville, Clark Co., Wis.).  The groom is a carpenter at Grafton and is spoken of as a young man of much promise.

Mr. and Mrs. Mentzel will leave for their future home at Grafton in a few weeks, accompanied by the bride’s mother, Mrs. Lye.  Mr. Mentzel’s parents were here for the wedding.
