Scheel, Marthel Farrell (Marriage - 19 Aug. 1950)

Marriage vows were repeated between Miss Marthel Farrell Scheel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Scheel and Le Roy Hainzlsperger, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Hainzlsperger, of Colby Saturday morning. The Rev. Raymond Schulz read the double ring service and nuptial mass at 9:00 o’clock at St. Bernard’s Catholic church.

The bride was gowned in white marquisette, designed with a net yoke bordered with a ruffle, cap sleeves and lace overskirt. She wore a three quarter length veil and carried a mixed bouquet.

Attending her was a former classmate, Miss Amelda Noonan, as maid of honor and her sister, Miss Wanda Scheel, as bridesmaid. They wore taffeta frocks made alike with fitted bodice and full gathered skirt. Miss Noonan wore yellow and Miss Scheel aqua. Both attendants had wrist corsages of aqua and white carnations.

Attending the groom were Vance Jost as best man and Raymond Hainzlsperger, a brother, as usher.

The bride’s mother wore a brown dress with gold accessories and the groom’s mother wore a green dress with brown accessories. Both wore camellia corsages.

A reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents and in the evening a wdding dance was held at Walter’s Pavilion, Colby, Wis.

After a honeymoon in northern Wisconsin, the couple will reside in Spencer where the groom is employed as a truck driver for All-Ways.

Coming from away for the wedding were John Hainzlsperger, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Purkis and family, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Hainzlsperger and family, Unity; Mr. and Mrs. John Hainzlsperger, Sr., and children, Mr. and Mrs. Florian Hainzlsperger, and Mr. and Mrs. George Schneider and family, Colby, Wis.
