Gauerke, Nelda (Marriage - 3 July 1950)

Mr. and Mrs. Ross Greaser are now at home after a week’s honeymoon to the southern part of the state. Their marriage took place July 3 at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church at Athens. The Rev. Henry Huetzenroeder read the service at 10:30 in the morning.

The bride, the former Nelda Gauerke, daughter of Ben Gauerke, Athens, chose a gold colored sharkskin suit with white accessories for the occasion and wore a corsage of roses.

Miss Ruth Berghammer, Appleton, her only attendant, was attired in a salmon colored linen crash suit with which she wore a corsage of carnations and navy accessories.

Attending as best man was Myron Greaser, Abbotsford, brother of the groom.

A wedding dinner was served at the home of the bride’s brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Mel Strombeck, and a reception was held at the home of the bride’s father.

Mr. and Mrs. Greaser are now living in the upstairs apartment in the house of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Greaser. Mr. Greaser is employed at Danielson Dry Cleaners.
