John C. Kadonsky, of Marshfield, received minor injuries to his face and neck when he found himself in the line of fire of a 16 gauge shotgun, discharged by his hunting companion who was standing about 50 yards away. The mishap occurred Saturday afternoon about 5:30 when they were hunting northeast of Milladore.

Mrs. Bill Sossaman and daughter, of Milwaukee, came Friday to spend several weeks with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Lindberg. Mr. Sossaman was here for the week end.

Mrs. Frances Melvin visited her mother, Mrs. John Ockerlander, at St. Mary’s hospital, Wausau, Tuesday afternoon and again this afternoon. Mrs. Ockerlander received chest and back injuries Sunday afternoon in a car accident when Mr. and Mrs. Ockerlander were taking their daughter, Doris, who teaches at Marshfield, there, after a week end with them at Wausau.

Mr. and Mrs. Archie Gribble left Saturday to spend about two weeks at Eau Claire before returning to their home at Iron Mountain, Mich. The Gribbles made their home with Mrs. M. C. Bunnell while in Abbotsford, Wis. Mr. Gribble was employed with the construction firm resurfacing Highway 13, north.

Ronald Reeves, Madison, and Mr. and Mrs. Gerrry Reeves and family, of Austin, Minn., spent Sunday and Monday with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Reeves. Ronald Reeves had received his call to report for military training Tuesday.

Mr. and Mrs. Paul Larson, Oshkosh, spent from Saturday evening until Monday at the home of their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Daenicke. On Sunday Mrs. Daenicke and her parents visited relatives and friends at Marshfield.

Mr. and Mrs. F. B. Wing spent several days the first of the week at Marshfield. Mr. Wing helped at the drug store and Mrs. Wing took care of her grandchildren while Mr. and Mrs. Ben Wing were away.

The public is cordially invited to the card party at the armory club rooms, Sunday evening, Oct. 1. There will be prizes and lunch. The St. Lucy circle of St. Bernard’s Altar Society are the sponsors.
