Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Sutherland and sons, William and Lee, of Detroit, Mich., called at the M. N. Hutt home Monday afternoon.

 

Mrs. Edgar Sorenson and Mrs. Fred Jensen, Burlington, called on Mrs. Vern Steffen, Tuesday afternoon. The Sorensons were former residents.

 

Harold Kalepp purchased the William Sedlack farm, located at the Dorchester corner on Highway 13. Mr. Sedlack kept the house and the family will continue to reside there.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Gerhard Anderson and two children returned home Tuesday evening. They left Saturday and visited the Vernon Green family at Rockford, Ill., and the Harry Lenz family in Iowa.

 

Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Folstad and daughter, Lynn, returned to Barron Friday afternoon. Their niece, Miss Maureen Hutt, accompanied them and is spending the week there. On Saturday afternoon, Mr. and Mrs. M. N. Hutt and daughter, Marilyn, drove to Barron as her brother and sister-in-law, Dr. and Mrs. Harry Chronquist, and daughter, Joan, of Evanston, Ill., are vacationing there. The Hutts returned here Sunday afternoon.

 

A marriage license has been issued to Leroy M. Hainzlsperger, Colby, and Miss Marthell Scheel, Abbotsford, Wis. Miss Scheel is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Scheel. The marriage will take place at Colby on Aug. 19.

 

Louis Laski broke his ankle when his foot caught behind the running board while getting out of his truck, recently. He is on crutches with a cast.
