Fricke, Fred C. (12 May 1879 - 24 Oct. 1949)

 

Services for Fred C. Fricke, 70 years old, who died Monday at 5:00 p.m., after an illness of several weeks, at St. Joseph’s hospital, Marshfield, were held this afternoon at 2:00 o’clock at the Presbyterian church. The Rev. Fred J. Smith, of Colby, officiated at the rites which were followed by internment in the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery.

 

The pallbearers were Charles Boyer, George Heida, Ferdinand Haack, Ben Merwin, Ewald Wiersig and Anton Van Dreel.

 

Fred Fricke was born May 12, 1879 in the town of Hull, where his parents, Elizabeth Arheiger and Erhard Fricke came from Fond du Lac in the fall of 1878.

 

He lived in this vicinity all his life and after retiring from farming lived in Colby where Mrs. Fricke died several years ago. Three years ago he came to Abbotsford to live.

 

Survivors include a daughter, Esther, Chicago; two sisters, Mrs. Harry Demand, Abbotsford; and Mrs. Herbert Warner, Saynor; and a brother, Edward, Cherokee. One child preceded him in death.
