Alesch, Jean (Marriage - 8 Jan. 1949)

Allen Halmstad, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ovid Halmstad, Marshfield, claimed as his bride, Miss Jean Alesch, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lee J. Alesch, of Wisconsin Rapids, Jan. 8. The Rev. Joseph Tetzloff officiated at the 10:00 o’clock ceremony in St. Mary’s parsonage at Wisconsin Rapids, Saturday morning.

Attending the couple were Miss Marion Halmstad, sister of the groom, and Tom Trowbridge, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

The bride was attired in a beige gabardine suit, complemented with brown accessories. Her corsage was of pink roses. Miss Halmstad wore a two piece aqua gabardine dress with black accessories, and a yellow rose corsage.

At 1:00 p.m. dinner was served to the immediate family at Johnny’s bar and grill.

The bride was graduated from Lincoln high school, Wisconsin Rapids, with the class of 1948, and the groom was graduated from Marshfield high school with the class of 1947.

Mrs. Halmstad was employed in the bookkeeping department of Montgomery Ward and company in Wisconsin Rapids, and Mr. Halmstad is employed in the shoe department of Marshfield Fair, Inc.

After Feb. 1, the couple will make their home in Marshfield.

The Halmstads formerly lived in Abbotsford, Wis.
