Jacobi, Edwin Albert (15 June 1885 - 24 Sept. 1948)

Funeral rites were conducted Monday afternoon for Edwin A. Jacobi, 63 years old, who died of a heart attack at 7:05 a.m. Friday at his home, town of Holton.

The Rev. F. H. Sprengler officiated at the 1:30 o’clock service at the Zink Funeral Home and at the 2:00 o’clock service at Christ Lutheran church. Internment was made in the town of Holton cemetery.

Pallbearers were George Orth, James Vrana, Fred Meske, Frank Schultz, Nick Wibben, and William Hanson. Flowers were carried by Mrs. James Vrana, Mrs. Fred Meske, Mrs. William Hanson, Mrs. Geo. Orth, Mrs. Frank Schultz, and Mrs. Nick Wibben.

Edwin Albert Jacobi was born in the town of Holton, June 15, 1885, attended Rosedale school in that township, and was married at Dorchester July 2, 1912, to Miss Clara Leonhardt.

He farmed in the town of Holton his entire life and was treasurer of that township for six years.

Surviving besides his widow are seven children, Alvin, at home; Harvey, Wausau; Lawrence, at home; Vernon, Wausau, Robert, at home; Mrs. Olive Thess, Owen; and Audrey, at home.

Also surviving are seven grand children; two brothers, Henry, Abbotsford, and Herbert, Wausau; and a sister, Mrs. Frank Bernitt, Abbotsford, Wis. A brother, Oscar and a sister, Edna, preceded him in death.

Out of town people at the funeral included Mr. and Mrs. William Dill, Sheboygan; Mr. and Mrs. Lester Sterling, Sparta; Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Jacobi, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Jacobi, and William Wirth, Wausau; Mr. and Mrs. John Stange and Mr. and Mrs. John Stange and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Uthe, Curtiss; Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Martina, Edgar; and Mrs. Clara Decker, Dorchester, Wis.
