Chaplin 1st Lt. Kliene performed the ceremony Aug. 8th, 1953, which united Anthony Jarocki, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bruno Jarocki of Withee (Clark Co.), Wis., and Miss Darlene Kubera, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Kubera of Thorp. The pretty wedding took place at a high mass said by Chaplin 1st Lt. Kliene at 9:00 o’clock int eh morning in Chapel 10 at Camp Gordon, Georgia.

 

Attending the couple at the double ring nuptials were Pvt. Ronald Mills of Chicago, a friend of the groom, and Miss Lorraine Kubera, the bride’s sister of Thorp.

 

The bride was attired in a chapel length gown of white nylon net with pale yellow satin slip and fingertip veil. Her wedding bouquet was of white carnations.

 

The bridesmaid wore a powder blue nylon net dress with blue satin and headdress of white carnations. She carried a bouquet of yellow carnations.

 

A wedding breakfast followed the ceremony at the Colonial Inn, after which the couple left on their honeymoon in Augusta, Ga.

 

The bride attended the Thorp grade and high schools and has been employed in theatre work at Medford. The groom is in the Signal Corps in the U. S. Army and now stationed at Camp Gordon, Ga.

 

The happy couple are residing in a trailer camp near Camp Gordon.
