Mr. and Mrs. L. F. Zell accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Butterfield attended the funeral of Wm. Robertson at March Rapids, Sunday.

Galen and Vernon Schmidt, who spent the past two weeks with their parents, left Monday for Madison to resume their studies at the university.

Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Morgan were Owen callers Tuesday evening.

Miss Frances Dunow came home last week from the hospital at Owen.

Melvin Arneson of Minneapolis called on friends her Sunday evening.

Mrs. Chas. Rahn called at the home of her sister, Mrs. E. Neitzel Monday afternoon.

Mr. and Mrs. Ira Hawks of Withee visited at the home of Mrs. Minnie Green Sunday.

Miss Evelyn Sievertson of Auburndale, returned her Sunday after her vacation at home.

A. M. Erickson was a business caller in Neillsville Monday an in Abbotsford Tuesday.

The next meeting of the P.T.A. will be held at the school house Thursday evening, January 15th.

Mr. and Mrs. E. Neitzel and family spent Sunday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Rahn.

Miss Amelia Bannach returned from her home at Custer Sunday to resume teaching in the local school.

Mask Ball in the Abbotsford Armory Wednesday evening, January 14th. Lots of fun. Be there.

Miss Margaret Williams of Marshfield, spent Thursday at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Williams.

Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Rice and daughter of Milwaukee are visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. F. F. Machlett.

Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Morgan of Unity and son Morris Morgan of Milwaukee visited New Years day at the R. H. Morgan home.

Mr. and Mrs. R. S. Green and family drove to Fifield New Years day to visit Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hansen and family.

Mrs. Franklin Tonn returned home Wednesday from Marshfield after being a patient in the hospital there for three weeks.

You will miss it if you miss the big masked ball Wednesday evening January 14th at the Abbotsford Armory.

Stacey Green left Sunday evening for Valparaiso, Ind., to take up his work as instructor of piano, after spending his vacation at home.

Mr. and Mrs. L. Schorer and son of Abbotsford, Mr. and Mrs. H. Jens and son and Mr. and Mrs. J. Johnson spent New Years eve at the Henry Peterson home.

Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Schroeder and daughter of Marshfield and Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Sills and daughter of Colby, Wisconsin were Sunday visitors at the Frank Schroeder home.

Mr. and Mrs. J. Johnson and family and Mrs. H. Jens and son and Albert Johnson spent Thursday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Kind.

Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Koerner visited Thursday evening at the Henry Peterson home.

Mr. and Mrs. Fred Machlett entertained the following at dinner on New Years day; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Randall and son, Lloyd, of Owen, Mr. and Mrs. Art Rice and daughter of Milwaukee and Mrs. Henry Machlett.

Mr. and Mrs. Paul Tonn and two sons returned to their home in Milwaukee Friday after spending the holidays with Mr. Tonn’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Tonn Sr., and with other relatives and friends in this community.

Franklin Matthias retuned on New Years day from Detroit, Mich., where he had been as delegate from the University of Wisconsin at a 5 day student - faculty conference of universities and colleges. He left on Saturday for Madison to resume his work at the University after having spent the holidays here.

Mrs. Donald Trowbridge and sons of Milladore, spent a few days last week at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Koerner.

Mrs. L. Neitzel and daughter Jean of Abbotsford spent a few days last week at the home of her parents Mr. and Mrs. B. B. Green.

The Misses Minnie and Alma Thompson left Sunday to resume their school work after the Christmas vacation with home folks.

Mr. and Mrs. Harold Matthias who spent the holidays at the home of their parents returned on Thursday to their home in Butternut.

The following teachers who spent the holidays with relatives her have returned to their schools, Miss Minnie Thompson to Milwaukee, Marian Lupeint to Laona, Thea Thompson to Beloit, Alma Thompson to Glenbulah and Anna Hanson to Wausau.

VIOLIN CONCERT

The violin concert given by Jack Sampson of Chippewa Falls, accompanied by Stacey Green on the piano given last week Monday at the village hall was greatly appreciated by all music lovers.

Mr. Sampson is a very able young violinist while Mr. Green, who this town is proud to claim as their own, having been born and reared here, is the head of the Piano Department at Valparaiso College. It is seldom a small town has the opportunity of hearing such artists.
