Schumacher, Alvina (6 SEP 1952)

Edward Lis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bruno Lis, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), claimed Alvina Schumacher, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Schumacher, Stanley, as his bride in Milwaukee, Saturday, Sept. 6, 1952.

The 9:30 a.m., double ring ceremony was read in St. Michael’s Church by the Rev. C. O. Loehr.

A blue-gray suit with navy blue accessories was the costume worn by the bride. Pink roses and white chrysanthemums formed her corsage.

Attending the couple were Mrs. Harold Leja, Stanley, sister of the bride, and Gerald Zapp, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Mrs. Leja wore a blue suit with navy blue accessories and a corsage of yellow roses.

A dinner was served at the home of the bride’s parents Sunday, Sept. 7th, and a dance was held in the evening at Maple Hill Hall.

Mr. and Mrs. Lis will make their living in Milwaukee, where the bridegroom is employed.
