Davis, Pleysa (3 January 1885 - 7 July 1964)

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon, July 10, 1964, at 2 p.m. from the Georgas Funeral Home for Mrs. Pleysa Davis, 79, of Memorial Home, who died Tuesday. The Rev. Paul Doering of the York Center Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be made in the Neillsville Cemetery.

Mrs. Davis, the former Pleysa Griffith, was born January 3, 1885, in Rosendale. She attended schools there and came to Clark County in 1905.

Her marriage to the late John Davis took place December 24, 1904, in Rosendale. Mr. and Mrs. Davis farmed in the Town of York for 32 years before retiring. They moved to Neillsville in 1946.

Mrs. Davis had made her home in Memorial Home since April 15, 1964.

She was a member of the York Center Methodist Church.

She is survived by two sons, William (Billy) Davis of Neillsville, and Morris Davis of Chicago, Ill; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

                  The Georgas Funeral Home made the funeral arrangements.
