Hucker, Jacob (16 Jul 1869 - 26 Dec 1951)

Jacob Hucker, 82 passed away at the Memorial Hospital at Stanley, of pneumonia on Wednesday, Dec. 26th, 1951.

Mr. Hucker was born in Posen Poland on July 16, 1869. He came to this country while still and boy and resided in Pittsburgh, Pa., and Buffalo, N.Y., before coming to Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) in 1899 and purchasing a farm in the township of Withee. He then returned to Pittsburgh, where he was married to Katherine Sonnenfeld in 1902. They then came to Thorp and settled on the farm permanently. Mrs. Hucker passed away in 1947.

He is survived by two sons, Stanley Hucker of Thorp and Joseph Hucker of Buffalo, N.Y. A brother and sister preceded him in death in Buffalo.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. Palaszewski and Rev. Krysinski at St. Mary Catholic Church at Lublin at 11:00 o’clock Dec. 29th, with burial in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers were Al Berdal, John T. Graikowski, Adam Wiater, Frank Hoffman, Mike Teclaw and Anton Wojt.
