Baronsky, Everett (11 Mar. 1925 - 6 Dec. 1946)

An automobile accident which took the life of Everett Baronsky, 21, and caused severe injuries to Vernon Boss and Calvin Strombeck, occurred Friday night, between Stetsonville and Little Black on Highway 13.

On Friday night, Dec. 6, Everett bowled with a team early, in Abbotsford, and went to the Boss farm to help with late chores. Bob Boss, whose birthday was Dec. 7, invited a group to join him at a steak dinner at Medford and they were on their way when the accident occurred, about 11:45 p.m.

According to reports, Robert Boss, who was driving his father’s car, going north, struck a car driven by Peter Sauer, of Medford, also going north. After striking the Sauer car, in the left rear end, the Boss car crashed into a culvert railing on the west side of the road near the Albert Blazel farm, just north of Stetsonville. Mr. Sauer lost control of his car which went into the ditch on the east side of the road and came back to the highway. The pavement was icy at the point where the crash occurred.

Everett Baronsky was taken to the Medford hospital where he died at 4 a.m. from head injuries, a broken shoulder and broken leg.

Vernon Boss will be at the hospital at Medford for possibly another week, having received injuries to his back. Calvin Strombeck is confined to his home here. Joe Beyerl and Robert Boss received minor injuries.

Damage to the Sauer car was estimated at $50 and to the Boss car at about $800.
