Ingersoll, Clark Lincoln (2 Nov. 1864 - 19 July 1946)

Funeral services for Dr. C. L. Ingersoll, 81, who died Friday night, were held Monday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock at the Zink Funeral Home, where the body had been lying in state. The Rev. G. E. Griffiths, of the Presbyterian church, conducted the services during which hymns were sung by Mrs. Wilbur Kuehnast and Miss Jessie Merrill, accompanied at the piano by Miss Blanche Merrill. Internment followed in the Abbotsford cemetery.

The pallbearers were Charles Boyer, Chris Bremer, Walter Jackson, Adolph Kalepp, Henry Parge and George Reil.

Clark Lincoln Ingersoll was born Nov. 2, 1864, in Franksville, near Racine. He was married at Weyauwega to Miss Lillian Clark, July 29, 1885. After their marriage, they lived in Groton, South Dakota for two years and a year and a half in Wausau and then came to Abbotsford where he did veterinarian work. The past few years he has been in poor health but had been able to be around town. He had made plans to go to Madison, Saturday and enter General Hospital. Death came unexpectedly, Friday evening.

He is survived by five sons, Bert, of New London; Kenneth and Don, Abbotsford; Robin, Marshfield; and Carroll, of Elysbury, Pa.; and one daughter, Mrs. Stanley (Ruth) Smith, Wausau. There are 20 grand children and 16 great grand children.

Mrs. Ingersoll preceded him in death Sept. 21, 1941.

Robin Ingersoll, of Marshfield, and Mrs. Stanley Smith, of Wausau, attended the funeral of their father.
