Pyatt, Beverly #2 (3 MAR 1951)

In a lovely candlelight ceremony performed at the First Congregational Church, Owen, at eight o’clock Saturday night, March 3, 1951, Miss Beverly Pyatt exchanged Wedding vows with Elmer Baum. The couple repeated the nuptial vows after Rev. W. Myron Glick, officiating clergyman.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Pyatt, Owen and the groom, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gust Baum of Withee (Clark Co.), Wis.

A gown of white satin styled with a Peter Pan collar with inserts of net and satin appliqués in the skirt and yoke was worn by the bride. Its beauty was further enhanced by a fingertip veil of illusion net edged with lace which was caught to a crown of seed pearls. She carried a colonial bouquet of pink camellias surrounded with pink and white carnations and roses. Attending her was her sister, Darlene, wearing a gown of pale blue marquisette over taffeta styled in an off the shoulder effect and wore a headdress of pin and white carnations and sweet peas. Her bouquet was styled similar to that of the bride’s.

Attending the bridegroom as best man was Frank Olzewski. Both wore dark blue business suits.

Immediately following the ceremony a reception was held in the church parlors.

The young couple is well known in this community and highly respected. The bride attended the Withee and Owen school systems, graduating from the Owen High School and then attending the Eau Claire Vocational School. For the past year she had been employed as a stenographer at the E. W. Kidd Company.

Mr. Baum was graduated from the Withee High School and for the past several years has been serving in the United State Navy. The couple will reside at East Ocean View, Norfolk, Virginia, as Mr. Baum is now stationed at Norfolk.

Out of town guests attending the ceremony were Mr. and Mrs. Henry Isaacson, Virginia, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Isaacson, Eveleth, Minn.; Mrs. Maude Schalin, Nashwauk, Minn.; Mrs. Frank Taylor and children Edith and Jimmy, Bertha, Minn.; Mrs. Ned Cook, Grandmarsk, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. Norman Frederick and Mark Allen, Auburndale, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Blaasch, Greenwood, and Ray Ammentorp, Camp McCoy, Wis.
