Now residing in Milwaukee are Mr. and Mrs. Richard M. Mikolajczyk, who were married May 27th, 1950 at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Owen, by the Rev. Raymond H. Bornbach.

The bride, the former Betty Jane Acker, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Acker, Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Mikolajczyk, West Allis.

For the ceremony the bride wore an imported gown of white satin and lace embroidered with rhinestones. Her fingertip veil was attached to a headdress of rhinestones, and she carried a cascade bouquet of gardenias and red and white roses.

Mr. and Mrs. Gene Krawczyk, Milwaukee, brother-in-law and sister of the groom, filled the roles of matron of honor, and also carried red roses. Theodore Acker, brother of the bride, was the other attendant of the groom.

A dinner was served in the Community Hall, Owen, followed by a reception at the home of the bride’s parents. In the evening a dance was held at Merry Ol’ Gardens.

The groom, a graduate from the Boy’s Tech, Milwaukee, is employed at the Blackhawk Manufacturing Co. there, and the bride, a graduate of the Greenwood High School, is employed at the National Screen Service.

The couple enjoyed a two week honeymoon trip through Canada and Minnesota.
