Firchow, Ruth (Marriage - 20 Oct. 1945)

Calvary Evangelical church, Milwaukee, was the scene of the ceremony at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, that united Miss Ruth Firchow, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hugo Firchow, Milwaukee, and Walter Baehr, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Baehr, of Dorchester, Route 1.

Dr. Andrew G. Finnie officiated at the ceremony which was followed by a reception in the church dining room.

A satin bodice and tulle skirt and train formed the bride’s white gown. She wore a pearl beaded tiara and carried white roses and orchids.

Mrs. John Probst, matron of honor, and Miss Myrtle Wilhelmi, maid of honor, wore gowns of white jersey. The Rev. Melvin Dake, of Shelbyville, Ill., was best man. Other attendants were Mrs. Frank Nunlist, Misses Joyce and Karen Spencer, of Kenosha; Norma Stepanek and Dorothy Siewert, and Messrs. Earl Spencer, of Kenosha; and Harvey Spencer of Kansasville.

The bride attended the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music, where she was a member of Sigma Alpha Iota, national professional women’s music sorority.

Mr. and Mrs. Baehr will make their home on the groom’s farm near Dorchester, Wis.

Attending the wedding from here were Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Baehr, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Baehr and Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Wilhelmi.
