Miller, Verla (Marriage - 24 July 1943)

A double ring ceremony united Miss Verla Miller, Eau Claire, formerly of Abbotsford, and William R. Bludorn, A.N.N. 3/c of the United States Navy, on Saturday evening, July 24, at 8 o’clock in the Presbyterian church at Columbus, Ohio. The Rev. Marshall Scott read the service.

The bride had chosen for the occasion, a wool sheer frock of aqua with brown accessories. Her attendant, Miss Margaret McKinley, wore a dress of dusty blue with brown accessories. Both wore corsages of pink roses.

The groom and his attendant, Melvin Ewing, A.N.N. 3/c, wore their Navy uniforms.

The bride, who attended school in Abbotsford, and graduated from the Abbotsford high school, later moved to Eau Claire and there attended business college for a year and State Teachers’ college for three years. At present she is employed in an office at Port Columbus.

The groom is stationed at Port Columbus, and here the young couple are making their home.
