Butterbrodt, Alvin A. (7 Feb. 1885 - 1 Nov. 1962)

Alvin A. Butterbrodt of Abbotsford, Wisconsin died early last Thursday at his home in Abbotsford of a heart attack at the age of 77 years. Funeral services were held at the Lulloff Funeral Home Sunday afternoon, Rev. F. H. Sprengler officiating, and internment was made in the Loyal cemetery. Members of the family served as pall bearers.

Mr. Butterbrodt was born in Dodge county on February 7, 1885, and lived with his parents on a farm near Beaver Dam. He was married to Bertha Rau in September, 1910 at Princeton. The couple farmed in Dodge county until 1917 at which time they moved to the Loyal - Greenwood area. In 1952 they retired and moved to Abbotsford, Wis. Mrs. Butterbrodt died in 1960.

Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Allen (Irene) Hepner of Chicago, Ill., Mrs. John (Lorraine) Brown of Fall Creek, Mrs. Robert (Dalhia) Susa of Greenwood and Mrs. Thomas (Beverly) Stirnel of Delavan; two sons, William of Loyal and Allison of Chicago; 12 grand children; two great grand children; a brother, Roland of Beaver Dam; three sisters, Miss Frieda Butterbrodt of Beaver Dam, Mrs. Aleda Wichham of Janesville and Mrs. Robert Edwards of Fox Lake. In addition to his wife, two brothers and a sister preceded him in death.
