Globe (20 May 1971)

Mrs. Theodore Hoffmann of Wabasso, Minn., formerly of the Neillsville area, visited a few weeks with relatives and friends here. She spent a few days with Mrs. Hedwig Schoenherr last week. Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Henry Stiemke had as their guests for dinner and supper, Mrs. Hoffmann, William Lueck, Mrs. Elsie Lueck and Mrs. Hedwig Schoenherr. Monday morning William Lueck and a niece of Medford accompanied Mrs. Hoffmann to her home.

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Thoma spent Thursday afternoon with Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Thoma and family.

Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Grap, Sr., his mother, Mrs. Martha Grap, and Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Hoppa drove to Milwaukee Saturday afternoon. Sunday morning they attended the confirmation of Jill Huettenrauch, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Huettenrauch. They returned home Monday afternoon.

Mr. and Mrs. Louis Duge and daughters of Fairchild visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Kuenkel, and brother, Alfred, Sunday afternoon and evening, and had supper with them.

The Rev. Robert Bitter, Mrs. Leo Hemp, Mrs. Oscar Kuenkel and Mrs. Leo Henchen attended the Lutheran Women’s Missionary society meeting at Schofield Tuesday.

Mrs. Robert Lemke and her brother, Sam Grap, both of Greenwood, called on the Russell Seelow family Saturday afternoon.

Mr. and Mrs. Herman Dux visited Mr. and Mrs. Lebrecht Kalsow Sunday afternoon and had supper with them.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Mitte and daughters of Manitowoc were overnight guests Saturday of his mother, Mrs. Clara Mitte, and brother, Franklin. Sunday morning they all attended the confirmation of Wendell Carl at the Pine Valley Church and were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Carl. The Robert Mittes returned home Sunday afternoon.

Mr. and Mrs. Dale Lonning and family visited Mr. and Mrs. Frank Thoma Sunday evening.

William Lueck and his sister, Mrs. Theodore Hoffmann of Wabasso, Minn., visited Mr. and Mrs. Herman Dux Tuesday afternoon.

The Globe Snowmobilers enjoyed a picnic dinner at the Black River Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Howard Sturtz, Sr., of Loyal visited Saturday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Hagen and family.
