Parmenter, Sue Elizabeth (23 December 1887 - 6 October 1951)

Sue Elizabeth Parmenter, age 63, of Willard died at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield on Saturday evening following a two weeks illness. Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday at two o’clock at the Georgas Funeral Home. Burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery with the Rev. Virgil Nulton officiating.

Mrs. Parmenter, nee Sue Elizabeth Daughenbaugh, was born on December 23, 1887, to Henry and Mary Daughenbaugh at Lena, Ill. She spent her early life in Illinois and Iowa before coming to Willard, where she resided until her death. She was married to Jack Glass in 1905. Two children were born to this union, Mrs. Timothy (Helen) O’Connor of Fifield, and Byron Glass of Granton. Her second marriage to George Crotzer took place in 1911. Three children from this union survive her, Gerald Crotzer on the home farm in Willard, Mrs. Chester (Geraldine) Dolajeck of Superior and Gayes Crotzer of Superior. Her third marriage to Frank Backus took place in 1920 and two children were born to this union, Walter Backus of Willard and Edward Backus of Chicago. Lionel Parmenter, who she married in 1936, died shortly after their marriage and she has since made her home with her son, Gerald Crotzer at Willard. Besides the above mentioned she is survived by one brother, Walter Daughenbaugh, of Marshfield and six grandchildren. Four brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
