Beawer, Arnold Rev. (12 May 1903 - 3 June 1987)

COLBY - The Rev. Arnold Beawer, 84, a former Colby resident, died June 3 in Lakeland, Fla.

Services were in Lakeland and burial was in Pine Lawn Memorial Park, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

He was born in Colby in 1903, to Charles and Mary Beawer. He was a graduate of Lutheran High School, Milwaukee, and attended Concordia Seminary, St. Louis.

He married Gladys Bruss at Zion Lutheran Church, Colby, in 1928. He had been pastor in Hamburg for a number of years, and also had pastorates in other states.

Surviving are a daughter, Rhoda, of Lakeland; a sister, Mrs. Frieda Plaski of Baltimore, and a brother, Bill of Colby, Wis.

COLBY - Graveside services were held today in Milwaukee for the Rev. Arnold Beawer, 84, formerly of Colby, Wisconsin, who died June 3 in Lakeland, Fla.

He was born May 12, 1903, in Colby, to Charles and Mary Beawer. He attended Concordia College, Milwaukee, and Concordia Seminary, St. Louis.

He married Gladys Bruss June 5, 1928, at Zion Lutheran Church, Colby, Wis. She survives. For 43 years, he served as pastor at various cities, and completed his active ministry at St. John Lutheran Church, Hamburg. In 1982, he moved to Florida.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Ed (Rhoda) Kirk of Lakeland; a sister, Mrs. Freda Plaski of Baltimore, and a brother, Bill of Colby, Wis.

Memorials may be made to the organ fund of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Grafton.
