Truesdell, Dorothy (2 NOV 1949)

The holy bonds of matrimony were exchanged in a lovely church ceremony performed at the First Congregational Church, Owen, at two o’clock Wednesday, Nov. 2nd, 1949, when Dorothy Truesdell became the bride of Robert Carter. The Rev. Myron Glick officiated at the sacred ceremony.

The bride wore a street length dress of navy blue enhanced by a corsage of red roses. Her attendants, Miss Beverly Johnson, nice of the groom, wore a street length dress of steel blue satin, and a corsage of pink carnations.

Attending the bridegroom as best man was Russell Fillips.

A reception was given for the immediate friends and relatives attending the ceremony in the church parlors, which were decorated with streamers. The tables were beautified with bouquets of seasonal flowers.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. Leslie Truesdell, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), and is employed as a stenographer at the O & N Lumber Co. in this city.

The bridegroom is the son of Ed Carter, Owen. A graduate of the Owen High School, he entered the service at the outbreak of the war, serving with the United States Navy. He is now an employee of the Master Packaging Corp.

The young couple are making their home in the city, having secured the apartment above Allen’s Store. A big circle of friends extend their best wishes for a long and joyous wedded life.

Among those attending the wedding ceremony was Mrs. Truesdell of St. Paul, Minn.
